Website Terms of Use

These terms apply to newyorkrugby7s.com and its public pages, forms, APIs, and restricted features. By using the site, you agree to these terms for yourself or the organization you represent and confirm that you have authority to do so. Do not use the site if you do not agree.

You must be at least 18 to submit a team registration, make a payment, or use an administrative or team-management feature. Separate terms govern team registration, participant waivers, sponsorships, vendors, and other tournament relationships.

NY7s works to keep dates, divisions, capacity, prices, rules, schedules, teams, travel information, and historical material accurate. Information may change as registrations, fields, weather, and event plans develop. Archived, estimated, or prior-year material does not describe the current tournament unless the page says otherwise.

Direct operational notices and the current registration confirmation control when they conflict with general or archived website copy, subject to applicable law and the Registration Terms.

NY7s grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the site for personal, team-planning, press, research, or other lawful noncommercial purposes. Public APIs and agent-readable resources may be used according to their documentation and technical limits.

Except where NY7s gives written permission, you may not:

• sell, license, republish, or commercially exploit the site or a substantial part of its content;
• reverse engineer or interfere with the site, probe nonpublic systems, or bypass access controls;
• defeat rate limits or use automation that materially burdens the service;
• submit false registrations, payment information, forms, or impersonated requests;
• misrepresent an affiliation, endorsement, team entry, or event status;
• collect personal information from the site for unsolicited marketing or harassment; or
• upload or transmit malicious code or unlawful material.

Administrative and team-management areas are limited to authorized users. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials and sign-in links private, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through access you knowingly share.

NY7s may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the site, tournament data, other users, or event operations, or when these terms are violated.

The site’s original design, writing, software, tournament branding, and compiled materials are owned by New York Rugby Club, Inc. or used with permission. Team names, team marks, photographs, articles, and linked materials may belong to their respective owners. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may not use a tournament or club mark in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or an official partnership. Contact NY7s for permission to make press, archival, or commercial use of site materials.

You must have the right to submit text, team information, documents, images, or other material that you provide. You grant NY7s a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, modify, and share that material as reasonably needed to respond to the request, operate the site, administer the tournament, maintain records, and meet legal or safety duties.

Feedback and suggestions about the site may be used without restriction or compensation. Public promotional use of participant images and optional research use remain subject to any separate choices presented when the material is collected.

The Privacy Notice describes the information NY7s collects, uses, and discloses. It also explains current analytics and cookie practices. If these terms conflict with the Privacy Notice about personal-information handling, the Privacy Notice controls.

The site links to or relies on services operated by others, including payment, email, maps, travel, governing-body, social-media, and accommodation providers. NY7s does not control those services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply, and a link does not by itself mean NY7s endorses every statement or service on the linked site.

NY7s may change, suspend, or remove site features to maintain security, correct errors, comply with law, or support event operations. The site may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors. Do not rely on the website as the only source for urgent medical, safety, travel, or match-day instructions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” NY7s disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. NY7s does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful code. These disclaimers do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, New York Rugby Club, Inc. and its directors, officers, volunteers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the site.

Their total liability for a claim arising solely from use of the site will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid directly to NY7s for the site feature giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. This section does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited. Registration, payment, attendance, and participation are governed by their separate terms and documents.

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify New York Rugby Club, Inc. and its directors, officers, volunteers, and employees from third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from material you submit, your unlawful use of the site, or your material violation of these terms. NY7s will provide prompt notice of a claim and may control its defense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault or imposes an obligation on an indemnified party without that party’s written consent.

NY7s works to make the site usable by people with disabilities. If you have difficulty accessing content or completing a site task, email ny7sdirector@newyorkrugby.com and describe the page and assistance needed.

These terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you and NY7s agree to send written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days for an informal response.

Any court proceeding arising from the site or these terms must be brought in a state or federal court located in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires another forum. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court with jurisdiction to protect intellectual-property or data-security rights.

These terms, the Privacy Notice, and any rules or additional terms presented for a site feature form the agreement governing use of the site. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as needed and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these terms without NY7s’s written consent. NY7s may assign them as part of a transfer of the site or tournament operations. Provisions that by their nature should continue after access ends, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions, survive.

NY7s may update these terms by posting a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the site or by email when appropriate. Continued use after the new effective date means the revised terms apply to later use.
